Day 1 Pre-Marital Academy Workshop

This Day 1 session sets a supportive tone for the academy and builds shared language around marriage readiness. Participants will clarify hopes and expectations, learn a simple communication tool, and identify early agreements they can practice immediately—without pressure to have “everything figured out” today.

Specific Marriage Skills Couples Will Learn

Couples join Day 1 because they want more than inspiration—they want practical skills they can use immediately and carry into marriage with confidence.

Communication & active listening — speak clearly, listen to understand, and reduce miscommunication.

Conflict resolution & healthy arguing — de-escalation, repair, and fighting fair without damaging the relationship.

Expectations for roles & responsibilities — align on household, emotional labor, and day-to-day teamwork.
